Each year 5th grade students work to help make Veterans Day special in Berlin. This year was no different. Each class worked hard to learn how to use the program Garageband which is a music editing program. Garageband was used to record a tribute to Veterans. Music and photos, many of which were of family members were added, making this a memorable and authentic event. Photos and names of family members were shared at the school's Veterans Day Program. We are proud to share our podcasts with you. Quicktime, a free download is needed to hear our projects. Please click the link below to visit the site where our projects can be found. 5th graders learn how important it is to evaluate the websites they use for research. To that end we visit a couple of bogus sites that look so real, they fool even the brightest adults. Students will be researching an endangered animal and try to figure out ways to help that animal not become extinct.
As they begin their study, we will evaluate some websites on explorers and one particular animal. To start the evaluation process, click on this link: http://21cif.com/tools/evaluate/
